. another story from the university of southern california. we will pull up the front page of the l.a. times. several people have been shot at a campus halloween party. not sure yet if the victims are students or not. we are trying to get more information out of los angeles. this happened after 1:00 this morning their time. several people shot. we're not sure if they are students or not. hopefully we will have more information a little bit later on a denture the newscast. >> 4:79 now. the investigation continues with a deadly shooting in northwest washington. >> a man shot several times and ignited it. it is unclear what led up to the shooting. police are not releasing information on suspects. a police chase ended with three arrests. the suspects were taken into custody on morton street. officers found a gun inside the suspect poses a car. >> the search continues for those behind the shooting of a teenager in southeast d.c. we do not know how he is doing right now. still checking on that. police questioned one person but so far no arrests. >> investigators are trying to find out what caused

in -- police say have arrested an escaped prisoner from california who had been loose for 12 years. corrections officials say was taken into custody in fairfax after escaping from a los angeles detention center. history of identity- crimes. authorities say she was still in identity theft and may file additional charges her here as well. >> if you planned to be near dupont circle tomorrow night, officials around the 17th and church streets klaus for the annual high race. flockeds of spectators to 17th street. scheduled for last night, but was rescheduled because of sandy. show will go on tomorrow. halloween was not rescheduled because of sandy. treaters out and about. we caught up with them in northwest washington. you can see it was not just one duess steam. got into the spirit as well. i cannot believe he wanted to be witnessed in that. california campus remains on lockdown at this hour. in fact, the university just released an alert to students telling them to seek shelter, stay indoors and avoid opening doors for unknown people. the shooting suspect still remains at large. we have learned that several victims, possibly up to four, have been taken to local hospitals in los angeles. witnesses telling the l.a. times this morning that the shooting happened at a party in the center of campus at the tudor campus center which seems to be a student union on campus. the witness is telling the "l.a. times" that there was a party celebrating halloween. it was max capacity inside. at least 100 people inside and outside. gunmen came up and just started shooting and at least they believe four students were shot. looking at the reports, we're hearing one of those students may be in critical condition, but we're trying to get more and more information. a lot of stuff coming out on social media now. keeping in touch with the "l.a. times." >> thanks a lot. weps we want to get back to the race

, california, are trying to determine the motive for a deadly workplace shooting. they say lawrence jones was in the middle of his shift when he pulled out a handgun and fatally shot two of his co-workers at close range before wounding two others and then taking his own life. >>> and in michigan, police have arrested the man they believe is behind a highway shooting spree. 24 shootings in the last 3 weeks alone. one driver was hurt. police say 1 tip out of nearly 3,000 that came in led them to the suspect's home. >>> and in medical news, going bald and other signs of aging may be much more serious than we thought. they could, in fact, be tell-tale signs of heart disease. a new study found that people are some 57% more likely to have a heart attack if they develop at least three of the following four signs of aging. baldness, a receding hairline, ear lobe increases or fatty deposits around the eyes. checking for those signs of aging should be part of every doctor's exam. >>> and a woman who is probably the nation's bravest and most determined voter. 21-year-old galicia malone, was in labor
